David Austin
Board President
David Austin serves as an Advisor in Human Resources and REFS Communications at ConocoPhillips. He brings extensive experience in corporate communications and organizational leadership. His strategic insight and industry perspective support the Center’s efforts to strengthen partnerships and expand opportunities for cultural programming and community initiatives.
Mike Washington
Board Member
Mike Washington is the owner of Washington Welding and a local entrepreneur committed to community growth. He supports initiatives that strengthen neighborhood engagement and opportunity. His involvement reflects a dedication to preserving community heritage and supporting West Bartlesville and the broader community.
John Jenkins
Board Member
John Jenkins brings over a decade of experience in music performance, arts administration, and education. As former Executive Director of the Bartlesville Symphony Orchestra, he expanded community engagement through music. He also served as Chairman and Associate Professor at Oral Roberts University, helping develop emerging musical talent.
George Halkiades
Treasurer
George Halkiades is a retired electrical engineer and plant manager with decades of experience in research and engineering connected to Phillips Petroleum and its successor companies. He has served organizations including Big Brothers Big Sisters, United Way, Tri County Tech, and the Bartlesville Public Library. He is the first recipient of the Bartlesville Community Foundation’s Community Catalyst Award.
Pablo Merlo
Board Member
Pablo Merlo is the owner of ARG Concrete and an active supporter of community development. Through his work, he contributes to the economic vitality of Bartlesville. His involvement reflects a commitment to strengthening neighborhoods and supporting initiatives that celebrate cultural diversity.
Michelle Gray
Board Member
Michelle Gray is a Career Specialist with Oklahoma Works, focused on helping individuals access education, workforce training, and employment. She works with low-income adults and out-of-school youth to build life skills and pursue career pathways. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Art Education and is a Certified Case Manager II.
Richard Mitchell
Board Member
Richard Mitchell is a Bartlesville attorney with a long-standing commitment to civic engagement. For more than two decades, he has supported the Cultural Center through the All That Jazz fundraiser. His involvement reflects a deep commitment to preserving local heritage and strengthening community connection.
