Rooted in History
I was born in Bartlesville and raised on the Westside. This work is personal. It is rooted in a deep pride for where I come from and a responsibility to contribute to where we are going.
Every time I move through this corridor, I don’t just see what exists today. I see the history, the families, and the vision that has been carried forward across generations and reinforced through both community voice and city planning.
West Bartlesville has never lacked vision. That vision has been documented, studied, and affirmed over time.
What has been missing is alignment, structure, and sustained follow-through.
This is not a new idea. It is the continuation of work that has already been started and outlined through years of community input and the City’s comprehensive planning efforts.
What is different now is the approach.
There is coordination across sectors. There is accountability in how the work is carried forward. And there is a clear commitment to moving from planning into implementation.
This work is grounded in long-standing community vision and strengthened through partnerships that support long-term, place-based investment.
Residents, property owners, business owners, developers, and community partners are being brought to the same table with a shared understanding that progress requires alignment, not isolation.
